THE PERRY CHURCH OF THE NAZARENE is pleased to offer free firewood to residents in the Perry, Morrice and Shaftsburg communities. The church’s men’s ministry recently cut and split approximately 100 face cords of firewood and will make it available to the community from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 16. Individuals planning to pick up free firewood are asked to bring a truck or trailer to the church parking lot to load the wood. In order to serve as many community members as possible, donations will be limited to one face cord per household. For anyone who has a truck and knows of an individual who could use firewood, church representatives ask to please consider assisting them by hauling and delivering wood. Church volunteers may also be available to help with wood delivery upon inquiry. The Perry Church of the Nazarene is located at 3100 Ellworth Rd., one mile south of the city of Perry at the intersection with M-52. Contact the church office at (517) 625-3400 with any questions.
