The classic rock/blues band Paving Allison will take center stage on Wednesday, July 18 at the ever-popular Wednesday Night Live concert series in Durand.   Paving Allison originated in 2006, and its members include Durand natives Matt Liestenfeltz and Lee Napier, along with Eric Pattee and Joe Williams of Flushing.

The band has performed at several clubs, festivals and private events throughout mid-Michigan, and this will be their second appearance at the Wednesday Night Live concert series. Bart Harris of Bart Harris State Farm Insurance will emcee the concert.

Corporate sponsors for Paving Allison are Bart Harris State Farm; Jim’s Pizza; Déjà Vu Services; Dr. R. Tirtha, DDS; and Welcome Home Veterans.

The city of Durand will be serving free hot dogs and cookies to all concert attendees. The America in Bloom judges will be in attendance for the concert and will be evaluating the progress of the new park on the corner of Hagle and E. Main Streets. There will also be several craft and jewelry vendors on hand. The Durand Rotary will be selling drinks and popcorn.

The first 2018 concert on July 11, which featured the Fairlanes and Devilles, was a huge success, with over 320 people attending.

Wednesday Night Live is a Durand DDA event. The Wednesday Night Live Committee includes Kathy Shaw of Shaw’s Pharmacy, Lori Childs of Changes Salon, Greg Martin of Jim’s Pizza, Greater Durand Area Chamber of Commerce board member Bruce Tomlinson and Durand chamber executive director Candyce Wolsfeld.
