OWOSSO HIGH SCHOOL Drama Club will be performing its competition play, “Peter/Wendy” at 7 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 7 in the school auditorium. This short play, by playwright Jeremy Bloom, is a straight adaptation from J.M. Barrie’s book “Peter and Wendy.”
Peter Pan, played by Autumn Weir, is the title character who longs to never grow old and is the leader of the lost boys, played by Riece Shattuck, Hayden Kautz, Sarah Roose and Mackenzie Taylor. Peter, along with the help of Tinkerbell (Maris Fett), meets Wendy (Ava Fett), and brings her to Neverland to become the mother of the lost boys. Danger lurks as Captain Hook (Wes LaVigne) and Smee (Cayden Whiteherse) kidnap Tiger Lilly (Madison Kregger) to lure Peter Pan. Mr. and Mrs. Darling are Wendy’s parents, played by Abigail Christian and Jonah Harriger.
The Owosso High School Drama Club performs a short play every year and competes with surrounding area school districts in the Michigan Interscholastic Forensics Association. Tickets are $5 each.
