The Owosso varsity competitive cheer team will hold its annual home invitational Saturday, Feb. 13 at the Owosso High School, with district play to begin the following week.
The team set a school record on Saturday, Feb. 6 by scoring a 718.84 at the Mason Invitational, one week after breaking the old school record of 710.2 by scoring 711.9 at the Grand Blanc Bobcat Invitational Jan. 30.
Scores from three rounds of competition are combined to get the final tournament score. Along with the short-lived overall record the Trojans achieved at the Grand Blanc tournament, they also set a new individual round school record of 296.1 Jan. 30 as well.
The team is coached by Trudy Schneider.
