The Owosso Community Players production of “Inherit the Wind” will hold auditions on Sept. 12 and 13 at 7 p.m. at the Lebowsky Center, 122 E. Main St., in Owosso. Please enter through the front doors of the theater. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m.

This drama tells the story of Prosecutor Matthew Harrison Brady and defense attorney Henry Drommond as they spar over a school teacher’s violation of the Butler Act, which prohibits the teaching of evolution. The nations two leading lawyers go head to head in the Monkey Trials in this intense production.

There are roles available for children and adults from ages 10 to 80. All who audition will be asked to read a brief monologue or short scene from the script which will be provided at the audition.

“Inherit the Wind” is being co-directed by Linda Keenan and Anna Owens, and will have six performances at the Lebowsky Center: Nov. 4, 5, 6, 11, 12, and 13. For more information about auditions contact Linda Keenan at (517) 862-8082.
