“A RACE TO REMEMBER,” a 0.1K event (one block walk) to benefit Friends of Pat’s Place, an Adult Social Center for Memory Care, will be 11:15 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 26, during Corunna’s Apple Festival weekend in McCurdy Park, said Sue Osika. She spoke during Tuesday’s Chamber A-M membership gathering by the Shiawassee Regional Chamber of Commerce at the Owosso-area Big Boy.

The one-block walk, “A Short Term Race for Long Term Memories” will be for persons and their loved one with memory challenges. It will begin near the Corunna Historical Village of Shiawassee County on the west edge of McCurdy Park.

Pre-registration, through Friends of Pat’s Place, 101 S. Shiawassee (M-71), downtown Corunna, is $20 per person and will include a long-sleeve T-shirt. The entry fee can be charged to a credit card.
