OHS Students Shot First Buck

DEVIN HOFFMAN made the most of opening day on Nov. 15, as the 15-year-old Owosso High School student took full advantage of the day off school to drop two bucks. He shot the first buck, a 10-point (shown), at 7 a.m., and he bagged his second prize of the day, a six-point, at 3:30 in the afternoon. Devin’s weapon of choice was a 20 gauge, single shot H&R shotgun. Even more impressively than shooting two bucks in one day, Hoffman took down both deer with only one good hand. He broke his right hand recently and has his hand in a cast, but that obviously did not slow him down. (Independent Photo/Graham Sturgeon)
