DISNEY’S BEAUTY AND THE BEAST will be performed by the OHS performing arts department in three upcoming shows. A 7 p.m. show is planned for Friday, Nov. 17 and Saturday, Nov. 18 and a 2 p.m. show will be held on Sunday, Nov. 19. Tickets are $10 at the door or $5 for students.

Seventy-five students have been tasking the musical on-stage, off-stage, and in the pit orchestra. The public is invited to revisit the magic of the classic tale “as old as time,” as these talented students have worked so hard to bring it to life. Enjoy the story of how a hideous beast/prince must regain his humanity and find love before the last petal of the enchanted rose falls.

Lumière, portrayed by Hayden Kautz, and Belle, played by Maris Fett, are shown during the promotional tea party event held in the Owosso High School on Saturday, Nov. 4. Costumed cast members entertained large crowds of princesses and princes with craft projects, photo ops, treats and other festive goodies. Torrential rain did not deter a multitude of children from attending.

Ethan Partridge (not shown) will be playing the part of the beast. Jessica Nieuwkoop is the vocal music director and Jillian Schlegel Kowalczyk has organized the orchestra pit. The Owosso High School is located on 765 E. North Street.
