“The Owosso Community Players are pleased to announce their 2015-2016 Theatrical Season…where Classic and Contemporary Converge!” said Jerry Frezon. “Our lineup contains a variety of shows including timeless dramas, hilarious comedies and inspiring performances, our new season is full of endless entertainment for the entire community.
“Starting off is ‘Legally Blonde: The Musical,’ with performances Sept. 11, 12, 13, 18, 19 and 20. Join UCLA sorority girl Elle Woods as she packs her bags and heads to Harvard Law in pursuit of her one true love. Along the way, she’ll find her true potential and set out to prove herself to the world.
“Next comes ‘Ghost: The Musical,’ with performances Nov. 6, 7, 8, 13, 14 and 15. This captivating musical, inspired by the film, follows Sam and Molly, a young couple whose connection takes a shocking turn after Sam’s untimely death. A tale of heartache and fate, audiences will be dazzled by wit, heart and the couple’s display of undying love.
“Celebrate the season in style at the spectacular Lebowsky Center with ‘Holiday at Lebowsky’ on Dec. 11, 12 and 13. Marvel as the season comes to life with a magical program of song and dance that will create new memories for all ages.
“To chase away the winter blues, come visit ‘The Boys Next Door’ with performances Jan. 15, 16, 17, 22, 23 and 24. This funny yet very touching story focuses on the lives of four mentally disabled men who live in a communal residence under the watchful eye of a sincere, despairing social worker. Audiences will be filled with laughter and compassion as heartfelt characters experience every triumph and tear life throws at them.
“Take to the high seas of the Lebowsky Center on ‘A Musical Adventure at Sea’ with performances Feb. 26, 27, 28, March 4, 5, 6, 11, 12 and 13.
