The Owosso Community Players will kick off their 2017-18 season on Friday, Sept. 8 with their presentation of 9 to 5 – The Musical. This Tony-nominated musical features music and lyrics by Dolly Parton, and book by Patricia Resnick.
Set in 1979, the musical tells the story of three female coworkers who bond with each other over their mutual dislike of their smarmy, domineering boss, Mr. Hart.
Performances will begin at 8 p.m. on Sept. 8, 9, 15, and 16; and at 3 p.m. on Sept. 10 and 17. Ticket prices are $21 for adults, $19 for seniors/students, and $13 for children 12 years old and under. All tickets carry a $1.50 ticketing fee online or at the box office. Tickets can be purchased at owossoplayers.com, or by contacting the box office at 114 E. Main St. in Owosso, (989) 723-4003. The box office is open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Wednesday; and during show week, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. Additionally, the box office will open one hour prior to show time Friday through Sunday.
