NICOLE BROWN has been announced as the new executive director of the Shiawassee Humane Society (SHS), effective Monday, Nov. 6. Nicole comes to SHS from the business world, having spent the past 10 years working for Jackson National Life. During her time at Jackson National Life, Nicole also supported SHS, Best Friends Animal Society, the Capitol Area Humane Society, and other animal welfare organizations as a volunteer.
Nicole is a graduate of Michigan State University, and she has completed multiple training courses dealing with animal health and behavior. In her new role, Nicole will be overseeing the daily business of the organization and helping to spread the SHS message throughout the community. “We are looking forward to Nicole’s service to our mission,” stated SHS President Christopher Newell.
Nicole can be seen holding one of her pets, named Harper.
