THE PERRY POLICE DEPARTMENT expresses gratitude for the generous contributions from area businesses that created another successful National Night Out in the city of Perry on Tuesday, Aug. 1. Special thanks are extended to the following businesses for their donations of food, beverages, and supplies that fed and entertained the guests during the 19th annual National Night Out:Hungry Howie’s, 7-Eleven, Carl’s Supermarket, Jay and Debbie Hanks, PS Food Mart-Subway, Road Trip Oasis, CD Okemos 10 (Mugg & Bopp’s), McDonald’s, and Burger King.

Thanks are also extended to: Perry Area Fire Rescue, Ridenour Racing (Chase Ridenour and family), the Greater Perry Area Lions and Leos clubs, Shiawassee County Deputy Sean Gifford and K-9 partner Nero, and Shiawassee County Sheriff Brian BeGole and Undersheriff Robert Brancheau.

Celebrated across the nation, National Night Out is an awareness program to promote crime and drug prevention awareness, generate support for and participation in local anti-crime programs, strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community relations, and send a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.
