THE OCP production of the musical “9 to 5” debuted Friday, Sept. 8 at the Lebowsky Center in Owosso. Set in 1979, the musical tells the story of three female coworkers who bond with each other over their mutual dislike of their smarmy, domineering boss, Mr. Hart. The Tony-nominated musical features music and lyrics by Dolly Parton and book by Patricia Resnick. Garrett Bradley is directing the show, Matt Meuwsee conducts the 12-piece orchestra, Rachael Cupples is in charge of vocal direction, and Erica Duffield handles the choreography.

Additional performances are scheduled to begin at 8 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 9; at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 10; at 8 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 15; at 8 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 16; and at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 17.

Tickets can be purchased at www.owossoplayers.com, or by contacting the box office at 114 E. Main St. in Owosso, (989) 723-4003. During show week, the box office is open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. Additionally, the box office will be open one hour prior to show time Friday through Sunday. Tickets cost $21 for adults, $19 for seniors and students, and $13 for children 12 years old and younger.
