BANDS from across mid-Michigan participated in the MSBOA District 5 Marching Band Festival on Monday, Oct. 10 at Willman Field in Owosso. The sound of drums and musical instruments could be clearly heard around the neighborhoods of the stadium. The event sponsored by Owosso School District included 16 area marching bands. At the end of the festival, each band received a rating as shown. On the scoreboard at the end of the festival were Pewamo-Westphalia, Bullock Creek, Chesaning, Perry, St. Johns, Dewitt, and Owosso bands who all received straight “I” ratings. A “I” rating is the highest score achievable at a band festival.
