Shiawassee Council on Aging: Morrice Senior Center is hosting the following activities and events for the first part of June. The Morrice Honor Society will offer a Technical Support Class from 3 to 4 p.m. on Monday, June 5. This will be the last Tech Support session until the fall.

The Morrice Senior Center will have a beach party at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 7. Michigan Hearing will offer hearing checks from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. on Friday, June 9. The services are free and based on a first come first served basis.

The center hosts bingo every Monday following lunch. The euchre group continues to meet at 1:30 on Monday and Thursday afternoons, and Pedro is played at 1 p.m. on the second Tuesday of the month. Exercise class is held at 9:30 a.m. every Tuesday and Thursday. In addition, the center will host a Diabetic Support Group meeting at 1 p.m. on Friday, June 9, and an Alzheimer’s Support Group at noon on Monday, June 12.

Lunch is served at noon three days a week, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Those interested in coming are asked to please call the center at (517) 625-4270 or come in the day prior to make reservations. The center has adopted new hours, and is now open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, as well as from 9 to 11 a.m. on Tuesday and Thursday.
