Shiawassee Council on Aging: Morrice Senior Center is hosting the following activities and events for the first part of the month of August. On Friday, Aug. 12 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m., Chad Ruest with Mid-Michigan Hearing will provide hearing tests. His services are free and based on a first-come, first-serve basis. On Monday, Aug. 15, from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m., Rite at Home will provide free blood pressure checks and on Wednesday, Aug. 17 the center will host the SCOA monthly board meeting.
The center hosts bingo every Monday following lunch. The euchre group continues to meet Monday and Thursday afternoons at 1:30 p.m. and Pedro is played on the second Tuesday of the month at 1 p.m. Exercise class is held every Tuesday and Thursday at 9:30 a.m. In addition, the center will host an Alzheimer’s Support Group on Aug. 8 and 22 at noon.
Lunch is served three days a week, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at noon; if you are interested in coming please call the center at (517) 625-4270 or come in the day prior to make your reservation for the next day.
