Shiawassee Council on Aging: Morrice Senior Center, located at 101 W. Mason St. in Morrice, will host the following activities and events in July. From 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. on Monday, July 17 free blood pressure checks will be offered by Rite @ Home.
The center hosts bingo every Monday following lunch. The euchre group continues to meet at 1:30 p.m. on Monday and Thursday afternoons, and Pedro is played at 1 p.m. on the second Tuesday of the month. Exercise class is held at 9 a.m. every Tuesday and Thursday. In addition, the center will host an Alzheimer’s Support Group at noon on July 10.
Lunch is served at noon three days a week, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at noon. Persons interested in attending are asked to please call the center at (517) 625-4270 or come in the day prior to make a reservation.
The center is now open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday; and from 9 to 11 a.m. on Tuesday and Thursday. For further information, persons can call the center at (517) 625-4270. The center will be closed on July 4 in observance of the 4th of July, and on July 14 for the annual Senior Picnic.
