Shiawassee Council on Aging: Morrice Senior Center is hosting the following activities and events for the second part of December. On Monday, Dec. 18, the Morrice Site Committee will hold its monthly meeting at 11 a.m. All are welcome. Also on Monday, Dec. 18, free blood pressure checks will be offered by Rite @ Home from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m.

Wii bowling is now offered at the center at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesdays. Center representatives encourage residents to come have some fun and test their skills. The center hosts bingo every Monday following lunch. The euchre group continues to meet at 1:30 p.m. on Mondays and Thursdays, and Pedro is played at 1 p.m. on the second Tuesday of each month. Exercise class is at 9:30 a.m. every Tuesday and Thursday.

Lunch is served at noon on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Anyone interested in attending is asked to please call the center at (517) 625-4270 or stop by the center a day prior to make a reservation.

The center has recently adopted new hours and is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays; and from 9 to 11 a.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays. For further information or to have questions answered, individuals should feel free to call the center, or stop by at 101 W. Mason St. in Morrice.

The center will be closed on Monday, Dec. 25 and Tuesday, Dec. 26 in observance of Christmas. The center will also be closed on Monday, Jan. 1 and Tuesday, Jan 2.
