In partnership with the Juddville United Methodist Church, the Greater Lansing Food Bank is distributing free fresh and non-perishable food items at a mobile food pantry for Shiawassee County residents. Anyone forced to choose between buying food, filling prescriptions, or putting food on the table should take advantage of this important program.

The mobile food pantry will be at New Lothrop High School, 9285 Easton Rd. in New Lothrop, on Saturday, July 15. Registration will begin at 9 a.m., and food will be served until noon, or until all the food is distributed.

The food pantry is open only to Shiawassee County residents, and the program is designed to help senior citizens on fixed incomes and families/individuals with limited or low income jobs.

Persons should bring a proof of residency in Shiawassee County, such as a valid driver’s license or Michigan ID, and one piece of mail containing their current Shiawassee County address. Participants must bring boxes, bags, or containers to carry food.
