McCurdy Festival Happening This Weekend

The Corunna Parks & Recreation committee will hold the inaugural McCurdy Festival in McCurdy Park from Thursday, Sept. 28 to Sunday, Oct. 1. Formerly the Corunna Apple Festival, this year’s event will feature a new carnival, disc golf, a pancake breakfast, free kids games, and pie.
Some of the festival’s activities are listed below, though more information can be obtained by visiting the city of Corunna website at www.corunna-mi.gov:
• A euchre tournament will begin at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 28 in the McCurdy Park Community Center.
• A craft and vendor show will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 29; from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 30; and from noon to 6 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 1.
• A disc golf tournament will begin at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 30, with a player meeting at 1:30 p.m.
• The “End of Summer Car Show” will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday,
Sept. 30, with a pancake breakfast.
