THE MARCHING RAMBLERS of Perry High School kicked off their fall season with a week of band camp (shown in formation) at the Kettunen Center near Tustin at the beginning of August. This year’s show features the music of Motown, including the popular hits “Stop! In the Name of Love,” “I’ll Be There,” “ABC,” “Track of My Tears” and “Superstition.” The band, under the direction of Garret Ernst, will be led on the field this year by Senior Drum Major Kyah Ribble and Junior Drum Major Parker Lewis.

   The Marching Ramblers’ fall schedule includes performances in the PerryFest Parade on Saturday, Sept. 21, the MSBOA District V Marching Festival in Owosso on Monday, Oct. 7 and the Perry varsity football home games on Thursday, Aug. 29; Friday, Sept. 6; Friday, Sept. 13; Friday, Oct. 11; and Friday, Oct. 18. The Marching Ramblers will conclude their fall tour of performances by playing in the always-popular Pops Concert on Tuesday, Oct. 22 in the Perry High School auditorium.

   Perry band students will begin selling cookie dough and popcorn on Monday, Aug. 26. Anyone who is interested in placing an order is asked to please contact their favorite band student or call the band office at (517) 625-0051.
