Lucas Fraidenburg and Makinna Chant

    LAINGSBURG HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS Lucas Fraidenburg (left) and Makinna Chant have each been awarded a $500 scholarship from the BIG A (Jason E. Andersen) Memorial Scholarship Fund. Makinna plans on attending the University of Michigan in Dearborn, and Lucas plans to attend Lansing Community College before transferring to Michigan State University. Three Alpena High School seniors will also be awarded $500 scholarships on June 15 during a ceremony at the Northeast Community Foundation in Alpena. Scholarships are offered from this fund to graduating seniors in good standing who have participated in school-based and non-school-based activities, with an emphasis on their future study area and goals.
