Dr. Roberto Canas, who celebrated his 100th birthday on May 8, has published his autobiography, “100 years – My life from El Salvador, C.A., to the United States.” Dr. Canas was formerly a physician and surgeon in Durand and retired in 2014. He is now residing in Alabama, and will be bringing Amtrak to Durand on Monday, Sept. 18. He will hold a book signing from 1 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 24 at Durand Union Station Depot in Durand. He would be pleased to see old friends and former patients.
