DeVries Nature Conservancy will be hosting a great workshop for persons interested in learning tips and techniques to green their daily lives. Nov. 14, from 1 to 3 p.m. this workshop will help participants understand the chemicals and additives in everyday cleaning products, cosmetics, baby care items and more. Then, they will delve into options to avoid these irritants by making their own, easy, low cost alternatives with organic ingredients. Links and resources are also provided to green other areas of your life.
Some of the products to be highlighted include shampoo, conditioner, lotion, soaps, laundry detergent, baby wipes, baby soaps and creams, food items, gardening, recycling and more. The workshop is great for young families, grandparents, health conscious individuals and anyone interested in making a difference in their lifestyle and the environment.
This workshop is $3 for members, or $5 for non-members and includes all materials. Space is limited so pre-registration is necessary by Nov. 11.
