The annual Village of Lennon Volunteers Golf Outing will be Friday, June 16 at the Dutch Hollow Golf Course in Durand. The format will be a four-person scramble, with a shotgun start at 10 a.m. The cost to play is $65 per person. Additionally, the group is seeking sponsors and donations for the event. A team sponsorship will cost $260, hole sponsorships can be purchased for $50, and “welcome bag” sponsors are also being sought.

The village of Lennon Volunteers, an organization consisting of local residents and business owners working together with village officials and other organizations that are committed to the improvement and enhancement of the village and its surrounding inhabitants for current and future generations. It is the goal of the Lennon Volunteers to enhance and improve the façade and image of the village, which will result in the influx of new businesses and families to the area. These enhancements will bring a certain level of prestige back to the small village. The necessary improvements and enhancements desired will take time, funding, cooperation, and lots of patience. However, the Village Volunteers will be instrumental in the pursuit of realizing these plans.
