THE GRAND OPENING OF THE LAINGSBURG AMPHITHEATER was held as part of the first of the summer concert series on Friday, June 18. The new amphitheater is located in scenic McClintock Park.
The Jack Clarkson Band kicked off the summer series, which is organized by the Laingsburg Business and Community Association (LBCA).
Food vendors included the Dairy Den, MI Vegan and Got Smoke BBQ. The expansive park allowed the audience to spread out to listen to the performance from where they were most comfortable sitting. Many children took advantage of the play area, enjoyed drawing with chalk on the sidewalks or playing with Hula Hoops.
The Friday, July 9 performance will be Root Doctor. Performances will continue at the new amphitheater through Friday, Aug. 13. Performances are free to the public and last approximately two hours, beginning at 7 p.m.
