VIVIAN KENNEY, of 102 E. Willow St., Perry, was honored during the Thursday, Oct. 20, Perry City Council meeting as winner of the monthly “Mayor Ross De Lau Perry Pride Award.” As the October winner, Kenney received a commemorative plaque and gift certificate from Darling Hardware as well as having her name engraved on a larger commemorative plaque that is displayed in the City Hall lobby. The focus of the residential award is to recognize excellence of residents in maintaining their home and yard, thus generating “Perry Pride.”

Mayor James Huguelet (left) presented the trophy to Kenney, who was nominated by Councilmember/Mayor Protem Tom Chaput. Chaput also selected three Honorable Mention winners, including the homes of: Michael and Sandy Bushard, 145 W. First St.; Judy Conrad, 142 W. Orchard St.; and Katherine Farr, 416 Williams Street.
