Former Shiawassee County Administrator TJ Clark is serving 30 days in the Shiawassee County Jail after his sentencing by Shiawassee County Circuit Judge Matt Stewart on Friday, Nov. 20.

Under an agreement with prosecutors and Clark’s defense attorneys, he will also pay $5,000 in restitution and fines, based on his September plea to a high court misdemeanor, misuse of a credit card.

He was fired by the Shiawassee County Board of Commissioners a year ago after questions came up over a number of charges on the county’s credit card by Clark. Prior to being hired in the spring of 2014 as county administrator, he had been the county’s Homeland Security/Emergency Management director.
