The St. Charles Wolverine Sportsmen Club and the Department of Natural Resources will conduct a hunter safety class for first-time hunters born on or after Jan. 1, 1960 who have not previously taken a hunter safety course.

Anyone who is 10 years old will be enrolled on a space-available basis and by how close to 10 years old they are on the class starting date. Registration will be 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 11; class 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday and Friday, Aug. 13 and 14; noon to 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 15. Refreshments served Thursday and Friday, lunch served Saturday. A $5 fee is requested to help offset food and refreshments along with the cost of ammunition and targets for live firing Saturday. Attendance is required all three days to receive the hunter safety certificate.
