DEVRIES NATURE CONSERVANCY, located just north of Owosso on M-52, held it’s annual Horse Drawn Wagon Ride and Fall Festival Saturday, Oct. 22. Among numerous activities that were offered to the public including a bonfire with s’mores, face-painting, a scavenger hunt, and a leaf pile, the horse drawn wagon ride was arguably a favorite. Long lines of guests waiting for the wagon rides, drawn by two separate teams of horses, were escorted on an autumn color tour through fields and woods.

DeVries offers over four miles of trails for people to enjoy throughout the year. A Full Moon Hike is planned for Saturday, Nov. 12 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. On Saturday, Dec. 10, Santa will make an appearance in his sleigh.
