DeVries Nature Conservancy is hosting its annual Fall Horse-Drawn Hayride event. This year it will also include face painting, a scavenger hunt, games and caramel apple dipping.

“Saturday, Oct. 17, 1 to 3 p.m. visitors can enjoy this afternoon of fun!” said Tracy Page of DeVries. “Take a ride on our two horse drawn-wagons, enjoy a scavenger hunt hike on the trails and watch your kids enjoy a giant pile of leaves, games and a bonfire. Make a s’more, enjoy cider and donuts or dip your own caramel apple.

“By popular demand, there will be two horse-drawn hayrides running; 50-cent tickets are required for some stations. Members get five free tickets. For information on this great event, you can go to www.devriesnature.org or call

(989) 723-3365. You can also email info@devriesnc.org for more information.”
