Relay For Life of Shiawassee County volunteers held their year-ending gathering at the Shiawassee County Fairgrounds Monday, July 20, where the group’s total fundraising numbers were announced.
This year’s American Cancer Society Relay for Life in June had 35 teams participate – raising over $80,000 for the charitable cause.
The top three teams were: the Rambler Rays, who raised $15,525; the Memorial Healthcare team raised $11,586; and the Bulemore Bash Out Cancer team raised $10,191. Teams usually consist of between 12 and 24 members.
