The Greater Durand Area Chamber of Commerce is launching their “Adopt a Storefront” program that the Chamber hopes will make Durand “look festive all over” for the upcoming holiday season.
There are several downtown storefronts that are currently vacant and Chamber Director Kathy Ohlund is asking for volunteers to decorate the vacant shops for the holiday season. Robert Kerr and Bertha Neal students will be chipping in with creative, handmade decorations as well.
Interested persons may contact Ohlund at (989) 288-3715. Ohlund hopes the storefronts can be decorated in time for Santa’s Light Parade, which will be Nov. 27.
