The Shiawassee County Democratic Party will celebrate on Tuesday, Sept. 27, at the 2016 Election Headquarters. The headquarters are located at 104 N. Saginaw St., in Owosso, on the corner of Saginaw and Main streets (M-21), directly across from the Comstock Inn. The theme is inspired by Marco Gutierrez, founder of the group “Latinos for Trump.” On Sept. 2, in an interview on MSNBC, he warned us about a serious immigration problem confronting America. Apparently Gutierrez is afraid that, “If you don’t do something about it, you’re going to have taco trucks on every corner.” Shiawassee Democrats are going to do something about it, tacos will be served at the Grand Opening Celebration. Soft drinks, coffee, and water will be available and the group will supply paper plates and plastic ware.
Please join the group on Tuesday, Sept. 27, at 5 p.m. to enjoy Mexican food and discuss the 2016 elections. The group holds their regular monthly meeting after the meal. Candidates will be there to update the group on their campaigns. Clinton/Kaine yard signs will be available, yard signs for other candidates, and literature for the candidates as well.
