Auditions for the Owosso Community Players production of “Ghost: The Musical” will be Sept. 14 and 15 at the Lebowsky Center, 122 E. Main (M-21), downtown Owosso. Signs on the building will direct auditioners to the correct entrance. Check-in begins at 6 p.m. Auditions will start promptly at 6:30.
This captivating musical follows Sam and Molly, a young couple whose connection takes a shocking turn after Sam’s untimely death. A tale of heartache and fate, audiences will be dazzled by wit, heart and the couple’s display of undying love.
A large ensemble with featured roles are available for men and women ages 18 through 65. Voices specifically needed for the four main characters are: Tenor (Sam Wheat), Mezzo Soprano (Molly Jenson), Baritone (Carl Bruner) and Mezzo Soprano (Oda Mae Brown).
First-timers as well as veteran actors are encouraged to attend. Everyone auditioning should come prepared to sing—a cappella—a song of their choice. Auditioners will be taught a short dance routine and will also be asked to read passages from the script.
