CHEMICAL BANK recently presented a check in the amount of $15,000 to the Memorial Healthcare Emergency Department. This donation fulfils – three years early – Chemical Bank’s commitment of $25,000 to the Memorial Healthcare Foundation’s “Going to a Higher Level campaign.”
The Memorial Healthcare Foundation was established in 1991 to encourage philanthropic involvement from the community. Today it continues to be committed to the local community and philanthropic giving through its many campaigns and events.
The Memorial Healthcare Foundation relies on generous donations and fundraisers to support the hospital’s health care needs. All charitable gifts are fully tax deductible. The majority of revenue generated comes from the many generous donors who choose to have their gifts support a current need, or to have their gifts placed in a permanent endowment fund. Only the annual earnings from the endowment are spent, providing a permanent source of funding for the hospital.
The Foundation is fortunate to have many friends who give of their time and talent to help organize interesting, fun and successful fundraising events. These committees consist of the annual golf benefit, the annual gala, the “Support the Foundation Art Bra” reception and the annual Go Green! Go Blue! event.
For more information about the Memorial Healthcare Foundation, or to make a donation, please contact Barb Nagengast, Interim Executive Director, at (989) 729-4675.
Craig Bishop, Community President of Chemical Bank of Owosso, can be seen presenting the $15,000 check to Memorial Healthcare Emergency Department Manager Tyler Yaklin on Wednesday, Dec. 20.
