Individuals, youth groups and organizations are encouraged to begin creating an entry for the Corunna Fourth of July Firecracker Parade. The parade will be held on Monday, July 4, starting at 11 a.m. Applications can be picked up at Corunna City Hall or by e-mailing corunnashauna@gmail.com and requesting one. They will also be available on the city’s website at www.corunna-mi.gov.
This year’s theme is “Fairy Tale Fourth” but organizers are encouraging everyone to decorate their entry any way they like. Units will be judged in one of seven categories: Best Decorated, Best Theme, Best Youth Group, Best Rookie, Most Patriotic, Director’s Trophy, and Best in Show. Winners in each category will receive a trophy before the start of the parade.
