TOYS FOR TOTS – The Shiawassee County Toys for Tots held a Fill the Cruiser event Friday, Dec. 4, at Walmart east of Owosso. Many people participated in making this event possible, including Coordinator Gerald Alcorn and ELGA Credit Union, but the heroes of the days were these men in uniform who donated their time for this worthwhile charity.
Gathered outside of Walmart Friday morning were: Michigan State Police (MSP) Troopers Steve Kramer, Steve Skrbec and Ben Rowell; MSP Lieutenant Paul Pummill; Corunna Police Chief Nick Chiros; Owosso Police Officer Michael Olsey; Gordon Settlemyre and Lieutenant Todd Follen of the Owosso Fire Department; plus Shiawassee County Sheriff’s Office Sergeant Brian BeGole.
