Storytimes will start at the Shiawassee District Library – Owosso Branch on Tuesday, Sept. 13 and will be held Tuesday and Wednesday mornings through Wednesday, Oct. 26 at 10:30 a.m. Children can come for a variety of stories, music, crafts, and other activities. There will be no storytime Wednesday, Oct. 12.

A new program, Hands On Learning will also start in September. This program will be held on the third Thursday of each month and is aimed at homeschooling families. Each month there will be a different hands-on activity for children. These activities are for all ages and encourage working together with others, learning, and having fun. The programs are Sept. 15, Oct. 20, and Nov. 17. They start at 1 p.m. and will last about an hour.

On Saturday, Sept. 17, the library will be celebrating International Talk Like a Pirate Day. Children can come anytime between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. for a variety of pirate themed crafts and activities.
