Extensive Work at the Westown Shell Food Mart

THIS IS HOW the Westown Shell Food Mart will look after extensive work at the Main (M-21) at Chipman property by owner Wakeland Oil in the coming months.

Just over a week ago, crews removed signage from the main building and constructed an addition to the south, which will be part of the new building.

This rendering by an architect was shown two years ago when the project was being reviewed by city officials. The Shell Food Mart at Washington and Corunna Avenue on the city’s southside was demolished and the new building completed in early 2014. (Independent File Photos/BILL CONSTINE)
