WORK IS underway at Signature Ford Lincoln of Owosso. Crews are adding a second Quick Lane service drive on the west side of the building. In all, 5,000 square feet will be added.
Signature Ford Lincoln of Owosso is expanding and renovating, adding 5,000 square feet to the building in a $1.5 million project, said owner Joe Falzon Wednesday morning, Nov. 25.
Included in the upgrades will be a new service and showroom expansion, as well as a new (second) Quick Lane service drive and remodeling the showroom; renovating the entire front of the building with a new façade; adding a new car delivery area to the showroom; adding a customer business center with Wi-Fi, television and a cappuccino bar; a new Lincoln showroom; new waiting rooms and new customer lounge and new restrooms. Completion is expected in early to mid-Summer 2016.
Falzon has owned the dealership since 1988 and has done some renovations, the last being 18 years ago (which is also when Signature Ford of Perry was built), but this is the biggest one to date. “Ford has a new look that they are going with and it is time to do some maintenance around this facility. Business is growing and we need the room,” said Falzon.
All three franchises – Ford, Lincoln and Quick Lane – have their own franchise designs. The Ford and Lincoln showrooms will look specifically different from one another. “The Quick Lane portion of the business is growing very fast. We work on all makes and models and are able to do repairs while customers wait,” said Falzon.
Also specific to Signature customers is their delivery service. All customers who buy Lincoln vehicles (and some Ford customers) have them delivered by truck and covered trailer to their home or business. This also includes Lincoln vehicles that need service work. The vehicle is picked up and a loaner is given to the customer while their vehicle is being worked on. “We are the only dealership around to do this. We have been doing these deliveries for 20 years and our customers love it. We have just bought a second truck and covered trailer to make deliveries,” said Falzon.
Falzon said that since the business is growing so much they are currently adding employees and hope to add more employees after the renovations are completed.
