Jake Slater will present an Elvis Tribute Artist show with local talent opening the show in the Showboat Park Amphitheater, 7 to 10 p.m. Thursday, July 16, with the rain venue St. Peter Parish Hall, 803 Church Street in Chesaning.
Jake Slater is a two-time Saginaw King Fest winner and a former St. Charles resident. His Elvis performances have entertained the public since 2008. He has the distinction of being the only King Of Saginaw who has won both the Early Years and Concert Years contests in the competitions. In April 2013, Jake was awarded second place at the Branson Elvis Festival in Branson, MO.
Slater has performed four “Sold Out” shows at the Bay City State Theatre with two of those sellouts in the same year, 2013. No other performer has accomplished this at the Theatre.
Local talent artists include: Studio3 dance students, the singing trio of Grace Stoinski, Destinee Anderson and Evonne Tithof; Soloist Evonne Tithof; Singing musicians Molly Kennelly and Riley Swartzmiller; Soloist Destinee Anderson; Singing musicians Matt Canfield, Greg Jenkinson and Charles Jenkinson.
