Editor, The Independent:
I want to start with talking about the word integrity and what that word really means. The dictionary says “The quality of being honest and having strong moral principles.” Everyday Kevin Kregger walks upright, works with his heart, and has compassion for every person who comes through the doors at Nelson House Funeral Home. He lives a life of excellence and integrity. Kevin is and has been a caring, loving, and giving man to this community for multiple years. The personal values that he and his family have could never take advantage of anyone.
My family had two deaths within weeks of each other. It was a very hard and trying time for all of us.  Kevin was there every minute and went above and beyond for my family. He was there to give us a hug and was very comforting to every person in my family. During our time of loss, Kevin’s humor and fun personality made those two weeks easier. I had a personal request when my grandmother passed away and he made sure it happened. I trusted him to honor my wishes and he did it without question. In my time of grief, he was there when I was unable to view my grandmother. He asked if he could personally take me up to her and be there to hold me up. He is an amazing man and that showed me he truly cares about people.
Kevin is a giver and not a taker. He gives himself to the community on a daily basis. He is the kind of man that I feel I can talk to and trust my life with. If my family or I ever needed Kevin, I know he would be there in a heartbeat. This is the type of man I have grown to respect and trust as a professional. Many of us have entrusted him with our loved ones who have passed away. Kevin has shown compassion and integrity with everyone he has encountered personally or professionally. He takes his profession seriously and would not do anything to jeopardize his life’s passion.
With that being said, I am in full support and will continue to support Kevin Kregger, his family and his profession.
Kevin, you and your family are in my daily prayers! God bless you for everything you have done for this community and my family.
