The Original Owosso Farm Market would like to inform our loyal customers and area residents that our market will begin the new season Saturday, May 7. The Original Owosso Farm Market will be located at 1643 E. M-21, between Owosso and Corunna, in the parking lot in front of Harbor Freight and the Dollar Tree, east of Walmart. Hours of operation are 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The market is comprised of a core group of vendors that have been serving the local community for 35 to 40 years. It specializes in local, fresh produce, honey, maple syrup, fresh eggs, apples, fruits and berries, flowering trees and shrubs plus lots of perennial plants, herbs and spices, bedding plants, a large variety of unique wood crafts, home made sauces and cheeses, baked goods (especially Kolaches), jams and jellies, decorative garden and lawn goods, embroidered towels, pillows and t-shirts, sports collectibles and much more.
Payment options include credit and debit cards, WIC and Senior Project Fresh Coupons, EBT cards (SNAP tokens, ie; Doubleup Bucks), in addition to cash. Customers can follow our Facebook page at “Original Owosso Farm Market” for weekly updates of when seasonal produce such as strawberries, sweet corn, etc. will be available plus announcements of activities, other products, plants and crafts, expected, complete with lists and pictures. One expected activity is a Pet Adoption Day by the Shiawassee County Humane Society to be scheduled in June.
