Independent Editor,

The staff at Capital Area Community Services in Shiawassee County would like to express our thanks and appreciation to those who have been involved in the Walk for Warmth this year. The number of people who took time to collect pledges and then walked; the businesses that donated their time, monetary or other support; the churches, clubs and organizations who demonstrated unstinting support through members walking and collecting pledges; the Owosso Independent and other media who provided wonderful coverage; and the great team of volunteers who willingly gave of their time to successfully organize and man events.

Over $6,336 in pledges and donations have already been generated within the community. The success of Walk for Warmth, and ultimately, those assisted by Capital Area Community Services in Shiawassee County, is contingent on the support of this community. Thank you for showing your support this year. We look forward to seeing you next year!
