The Perry Police Department extends heartfelt thanks for the generous contributions from area businesses that created another successful National Night Out in the city of Perry, Tuesday, Aug. 7. Gratitude is extended to the following businesses for their donations of food, beverages and supplies to feed and entertain guests during the 20th annual National Night Out:
Hungry Howie’s; 7-Eleven; Carl’s Supermarket; Jay and Debbie Hanks; PS Food Mart-Subway; Road Trip Oasis; CD Okemos 10 (Mugg & Bopp’s); McDonald’s; and Burger King.
Special thanks also to: Perry Area Fire Rescue; Ridenour Racing (Chase Ridenour and family); the Greater Perry Area Lions and Leos clubs (and Durand AMVETS); Shiawassee County deputy Sean Gifford and K-9 partner Nero; Shiawassee County Emergency Manager Trent Atkins; and the Bawks family.
Celebrated across the nation, National Night Out is an awareness program to promote crime and drug prevention awareness; generate support for and participation in local anti-crime programs; strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnership; and send a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.
