The Arc summer camp has been a staple in the community for so many years, that for those of us running it now we can only enjoy the early years through photos and memory books! This was a tremendous summer, with a full camp and wonderful memories. This could not have been possible without the support of so many community partners.
We would not have been able to provide such a rewarding experience and a seven-week camp without the generous support of the following businesses and organizations: YAC and the Shiawassee Community Foundation for providing scholarship funds for some of the campers, The Cook Family Foundation for providing funding to help provide a college intern for staffing support, Capitol Bowl, Guido’s Coffee & Deli, Hit & Pitch, Junction of Hope, Wendy’s, Owosso Charter Township Hall, Northfork Farms, Owosso City Parks, NCG Cinemas, It’s a Deli Thing, Hankerd Sportswear, SATA and Transportation Solutions.
Special thanks go to these organizations who provided special services to us at no cost: Cardio Drumming by Linda Johnson, Cupcakes & Kisses, Graham Church, Owosso Fire and Police Department, Fairview Pet Center, the United Dairy Industry of Michigan and The Armory. Your kindness was more than we could have asked for, and we so appreciate what you did for our organization.
The Arc will start our afternoon Tuesday/Thursday program, Connections, on Tuesday, Sept. 10 running throughout the school year. For more information regarding that please contact the Arc office at (989) 723-7377.
The Arc Mid-Michigan is a nonprofit that advocates for individuals with developmental disabilities in Shiawassee, Clinton, Eaton and Ingham counties.
