My first experience riding the SATA (Shiawassee Area Transportation Agency) bus was in 2011. I have used SATA to get back and forth to work because my car needed a lot of repairs that I couldn’t afford. I could rely on SATA in inclement weather and it was safer after dark. I’ve used it for doctor appointments, getting groceries, special church services and going to the library. The drivers are always accommodating and pleasant.
SATA is handicapped accessible, having a lift for wheelchairs. SATA is used throughout Shiawassee County. It is also used for school-of-choice students. Their safety record is excellent.
