Recently, Beta Sigma Phi held its 26th annual Daddy Daughter Dance at D’Mar Banquet & Conference Center. We continue to be amazed at how great the dads and daughters enjoy our function and stay until the last song. DJ Kurt Lewis told us the only dance he enjoys more than weddings is our daddy daughter dance because everyone has a good time and is on the dance floor the entire evening. He has agreed to return for the 27th dance on Oct. 17, 2018.
Dianne Rodgers, the owner of D’Mar Banquet & Conference Center deserves a big thank you for providing us with a beautiful facility. She has invited us to return next year. One of her employees, Jan Pitt, was very much appreciated in helping with our famous cookie table.
We are also thankful for pictures that Melissa Shepard put in Owosso’s Independent Newspaper. It helps to bring the dance to everyone’s attention.
With part of the proceeds we were able to provide at least six coats, hats, mittens and socks to every school in Shiawassee County. When we go to the schools to make our deliveries, they often are waiting for us. Again, this is because you dads and daughters support our dance, which makes it possible for us to purchase the coats.
Again Beta Sigma Phi wants to thank everyone for supporting our dance and look forward to seeing you next year.
