Jim Corruthers Commander, American Legion Post 57 Ben Frederick, Mayor of Owosso

1:38 pm

Independent Editor,
We invite everyone to attend our Memorial Day Parade in Owosso. This is a time for reflection and an acknowledgement of those who have died securing the freedoms that we cherish as Americans. Owosso’s annual Memorial Day Parade will take place on Monday, May 30. Parade participants will begin to assemble at 5:30 p.m. at Fayette Square City Park (corner of Oliver and Washington) with kickoff at 6 p.m.
The parade will proceed along its traditional route down Washington St. to Oak Hill Cemetery with a brief ceremony to follow.
Those taking part in the parade are invited to American Legion Post 57 afterward for light refreshments. Questions may be directed to the Legion by calling (989) 723-4046.
“It falls to us to honor those that gave up future memories and special moments to keep us free,” said organizers. “God bless our veterans.”
